Morelia, Michoacán, a 8 de marzo de 2018.- El Gobernador Constitucional Silvano Aureoles Conejo hizo un llamado para actuar con altura de miras y construir un acuerdo amplio que permita avanzar hacia la igualdad sustantiva y al ejercicio pleno de los derechos humanos en beneficio de las mujeres, en el marco de la Entrega del Premio Estatal a la Igualdad de Género Presea Eréndira.
Luego de entregar el Premio Estatal a la Igualdad de Género Presea Eréndira, a la cantautora, Rocío Vega López; al rector de la Universidad Latina de América, Luis Roberto Mantilla Sahagún; al investigador, Humberto Hernández Ramos y un reconocimiento especial a la joven, Melisa Pérez Sánchez, el mandatario estatal destacó el esfuerzo de las y los galardonados a favor de las mujeres.
“Demuestran que la ruta para alcanzar sociedades armónicas entre hombres y mujeres sigue siendo la misma: la educación, la cultura y la igualdad de oportunidades”.
Al conmemorar el Día Internacional de la Mujer, el Gobernador de Michoacán señaló que la violencia contra las mujeres no es normal. «Por eso nuestro objetivo es lograr el diseño de las instituciones que nos permitan llegar a ese Michoacán que queremos: un Michoacán incluyente, un Michoacán igualitario y más tolerante».
En su oportunidad, la secretaria de Igualdad Sustantiva y Desarrollo de las Mujeres Michoacanas, Fabiola Alanís Sámano, aseguró que es posible romper las barreras culturales que someten a las mujeres.
